Steve Turner Contemporary is pleased to present Proyecto Basurto, our inaugural pop-up exhibition in Mexico City, featuring works by seven artists–Parker Ito (NEW YORK & LOS ANGELES), Edgar Orlaineta (MEXICO CITY), Sarah Rara (LOS ANGELES), Pablo Rasgado (MEXICO CITY), Javier M. Rodriguez (GUADALAJARA), Rafaël Rozendaal (NEW YORK) and Fabiola Torres-Alzaga (MEXICO CITY). The exhibition will be held in the historic Edificio Basurto, a landmark 1944 art deco apartment building in Colonia Condesa, in apartment 703.

The iconic staircases of Edificio Basurto serve as a conceptual anchor for this exhibition. With their spiraling elegance, they convey a sense of infinity, illusion and innovative design, as do the works on view.
