Steve Turner is pleased to present Reverie, a three-person exhibition featuring new paintings by Brittany Miller, Natalia Gonzalez Martin and Ania Hobson that depict figures in open-ended narratives who seem preoccupied in thought. While the artists draw from different sources–Miller, from poetry; Gonzalez Martin, from art history; and Hobson, from caricature, their works all address the ever present anxiety of our time.

Ania Hobson (born 1990, Suffolk, United Kingdom) earned a BA at Ipswich University, Suffolk (2011) and later studied at the Royal Drawing School, London (2013) and Florence Academy of Art (2014). In 2018, she won the Young Artist BP Portrait Prize, National Portrait Gallery, London. She has had solo and two-person exhibitions at Morgan Presents, New York (2023); Ruttkowski, Paris (2022); Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2022) and Setareh Gallery, Dusseldorf (2021).

Natalia Gonzalez Martin (born 1995, Montejo de la Sierra, Spain) earned a BA in Painting at City & Guilds of London Art School (2017). Her work has been featured in solo and two-person exhibitions at Pallazo Monti, Brescia (2023); Galerie Sebastien Bertrand, Milan (2023); Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2022); Hannah Barry Gallery, London (2022); Galerie Sebastien Bertrand, Geneva (2021) and Quench Gallery, Margate (2021). Her work will next be included in Illuminations, a group show at Steve Turner, Los Angeles that she has also curated.

Brittany Miller (born 1990, Utica, New York) received a BFA and an MS from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. She has had solo exhibitions with Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2023); Scott Miller Projects, Birmingham (2022) and Thierry Goldberg, New York (2022). Her work will next be presented at Enter, Copenhagen.
