Steve Turner is pleased to exhibit at Untitled, Miami Beach 2019 with works by four American and two British artists. The human figure is common to all the works with narratives encompassing the personal, psychological or historical. Created amidst the backdrop of Trump and Brexit it is difficult to overlook the anxiety within each work. Sarah Ball grew up in South Yorkshire, England and studied at Newport Art College, Wales before earning an MFA at Bath Spa University (2005). She has had solo exhibitions at Anima Mundi, St. Ives (2017 & 2019) and Conduit Gallery, Dallas (2014 & 2019). She will have her first solo exhibition with Steve Turner in September 2020. Lydia Blakeley (b. 1980, Bracknell, Berkshire) earned an MFA at Goldsmiths, London (2019) and a BFA at Leeds College of Art (2016). Her work has been included in exhibitions at PlazaPlaza, London (2019): J Hammond Projects, London (2019); SET, London (2019) and Paradise Works, Manchester (2019). Blakeley will have her debut American solo exhibition with Steve Turner, Los Angeles in January 2020. She lives and works in North Yorkshire, England. Jon Key (b. 1990, Seale, Alabama) received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design (2013). He has had solo exhibitions at Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2019); Spring Break, New York (2019) and the Rubber Factory, New York (2019). His work has also been featured in group exhibitions at Jeffrey Dietch, New York and The Hole, New York. Key is also co-founder of Codify Art, a Brooklyn-based queer and trans people of color artist collective. He lives and works in Brooklyn. Gabby Rosenberg (b. Chicago, 1992) earned a BA from Hampshire College (2014) and an MFA from CalArts (2018). She has had a solo exhibition at Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2019) and had work included in Show Me as I Want to Be Seen at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco. David Shrobe earned his BFA and MFA at Hunter College, New York (2009 & 2013) before attending the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Maine (2014). He has had solo exhibitions at Thierry Goldberg (2017 & 2019) and Jenkins Johnson, San Francisco (2018). He will have his first solo exhibition at Steve Turner, Los Angeles in 2020. Brittany Tucker (b. 1996, Brooklyn) received a BA at Bard College (2018). She has had solo exhibitions at Steve Turner, Los Angeles (2019) and Spring Break, New York (2019, presented by Four-D Projects). She lives and works in Brooklyn.
