Steve Turner Contemporary is pleased to present I’d Tell You, But I’d Have To Kill You, Morgan Wells’ first solo exhibition at the gallery. Wells will present a sculptural installation consisting of handcrafted interlocking blocks of a uniform size which are made from disparate materials including found wood, trashed furniture, painted particleboard, and leftover scraps from previous projects. These modular block walls both dissect and create new space within the gallery, and within the new spaces, Wells will present other sculptural works.

Born in Los Angeles in 1980, Wells earned a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles (2006) and an MFA from the University of California, Irvine, (2009). His work has been exhibited at LAXART, Los Angeles; South La Brea Gallery, Inglewood; Inmo Gallery, Los Angeles; The USC Roski Fine Arts Gallery, Los Angeles; Tight Space, Santa Ana and The University Art Gallery, Irvine.
